Different Ways to Drive Traffic

When checking out paid traffic sources, many affiliate marketers assume that Google Adwords is the only effective way to buy targeted traffic to their landing pages. In fact, there are a number of different traffic sources available to affiliates that:
- Can be as effective as Adwords
- May cost you less per click than Adwords
- Could generate higher conversion rates than PPC
There are a number of factors to take into account when setting up a campaign. In this week’s blog post, we’ll try to give you some tips on different ways to drive traffic to your SellHealth campaigns.
Getting Campaigns Approved
If you’ve looked at our sexual health products and thought, “there’s no way I could get this campaign approved on social media,” you may need to think a little more creatively.
For example, let’s say you want to target men over 40 for one of our male enhancement offers. Instead of trying to get a campaign approved directly to one of SellHealth’s male enhancement supplements, consider a lead generation campaign with an autoresponder.
On your landing page, use images and phrases that are compliant. Make it information-based, instead of product-based. Your target audience wants to receive a solution to their problem.
Think about your call-to-action:
- Download our ebook
- Receive our PDF special report
- Get our 3-video series
After the opt-in, send them to your SellHealth affiliate link. It’s a cleaner way to generate traffic, and allows you to follow-up with emails to those who opt-in, instead of trying to get a male enhancement offer approved through social media.
Try Different Traffic Sources
According to Search Engine Journal, YouTube has become the 2nd largest search engine in the world. With over 1.5 billion logged-in users on a monthly basis, YouTube provides an incredible opportunity to target visitors with offers related to their search interests.
Test banners and video ads to your targeted audience. Not proficient in video marketing? Use a service like Fiverr and pay someone to make you a 15 or 30 second video clip.
Next, there’s Bing. Before you write it off due to their lower traffic numbers, keep in mind that Internet Explorer is the default web browser for all Windows-based PCs. Bing is generally set as the default search engine on Internet Explorer, allowing marketers to get in front of all of those PC-based customers.
While the traffic numbers on Bing are drastically lower than on Google or YouTube, there are many niches where an older demographic can be targeted just as effectively as on Adwords.
Another traffic source to check out is Reddit. You can advertise on specific subreddits, allowing you to target the exact audience you’re looking for. If there’s a niche, there likely exists a subreddit for the subject. Adult content is permitted on Reddit, which gives you a lot of flexibility with how to promote SellHealth’s offers.
Don’t Stop Testing
After setting up your campaign, be sure to gather enough data to make decisions about what tweaks to make to improve your results.
If you have a low click-through rate from your ad to your landing page, adjust your headline or creative. If you’re seeing a high click-through rate, but have a low conversion rate, maybe it’s a targeting issue or a landing page that needs adjusting.
